For once, the decision of the Constitutional Council rendered Thursday January 8 succeeded in frustrating neither the CGT nor the Medef. The highest French court had been contacted in the context of a dispute over the acquisition of paid leave during periods of sick leave. She ruled that the Labor Code, which allows the acquisition of days only in the event of illness and work and within the limit of one year, does not infringe the Constitution.
