Palakkad: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, an incident took place in the Palakkad railway section yesterday.
That is, from Palakkad Junction Railway Station to Erode Railway Station the control of the goods train was given to female employees. Yesterday morning, at 9:35, the train left with 42 coaches and 1,094 tonnes of cargo, driven by the ladies of driver PG, assistant driver Gayatri and guard Nimisha Banu. They are working under Palakkad division.
Palakkad Divisional Manager Trilok Kothari, Additional Divisional Managers Sakhir Hussain, Jai Krishnan, Southern Railway Women’s Welfare Organization District Vice Presidents Maya Jayakrishnan, Mumtaj Sakhir Hussain, Chief Medical Officer Kala Rani, Chief Zonal Operations Manager Vasudevan and others participated in the event.
