Chennai: ADMK coordinator Panneerselvam has emphasized that ‘the threat of power shortage in Tamil Nadu should be stopped’. His report: Due to the increasing demand for power in Tamil Nadu, power outages are occurring everywhere.

In this case, the news that the purchase and sale of electricity has been banned has come as a shock. The reason for this is the non-payment of arrears of 926 crore rupees to the power generation companies, according to the Ministry of Energy. This is an example of the administrative incompetence of the government; It is strongly condemned. In the current situation, if the demand for electricity increases, Tamil Nadu will not be able to purchase the additional electricity required in the energy transfer market. That is, if the power demand increases, there will be a dangerous situation where power outages will occur.

In this regard, the officials of the power department said, ‘Sufficient amount of electricity is available through the wind farm. They have said that ‘arrangements are being made to pay the outstanding amount of 926 crore rupees’. However, the minister says that the outstanding amount is only 70 crore rupees. Wind power has been declining for the past few days. Power demand can increase at any time. Therefore, the state government has the responsibility and obligation to immediately remove the ban imposed on Tamil Nadu in the energy transfer market.
