jpnn.comJAKARTA – The Indonesian Parliament delays the discussion of the 2025 budget efficiency with the government which was originally held this week.
Deputy Speaker of the House Sufmi Dasco Ahmad said the discussion of the budget revision was postponed because the government was still carrying out budget reconstruction.
“The discussion of the budget revision was postponed because it wanted to be reconstructed again,” Dasco told reporters on Monday (10/2).
Previously, a letter circulated with number B/1972/PW.11.01/2/2/2025 dated February 7 signed by Sufmi Dasco Ahmad addressed to the leaders of Commission I to XIII DPR.
The letter explained the request for delaying the ministry’s budget cutting meeting was carried out because there was a budget reconstruction plan from the government.
“In connection with the request for the postponement of the meeting of the Budget Efficiency Discussion of the Ministry/Institution because there will be a budget reconstruction from the government, then this together is requested to the Head of Commission I to the House of Representatives Commission XIII to postpone the discussion of the efficiency of the Budget of Working Partners,” the letter contents.
Furthermore, it was explained that if there was a commission that had a meeting with a meeting with the ministry/institution, then he was asked to hold another meeting in the future.
“If there is a commission that has discussed the budget efficiency with partners, then it is asked to hold a meeting again after the partner gets the latest reconstruction budget,” explained the letter. (MCR8/JPNN)
