The Attorney General’s Office (FGR) reported on the sentences of 20 years in prison for three members of a criminal structure, who committed the crime of aggravated extortion in Ciudad Delgado.

“Those involved in this case are: William Alexis Pérez Ramos, Daniel Ricardo Pérez Pérez and Josué Melquisedec Argueta Martínez. They are all linked to the Gang 18 revolutionaries, thin tribe, Monte Carlo court,” said the FGR.

According to statements to their victims, since 2021, the defendants demanded different amounts of cash from them, ranging from $100 per week. The gang members affected the economic interests of merchants located in different areas of the Ciudad Delgado district.

“One of the merchants decided to report them and the Prosecutor’s Office began investigations that allowed those involved to be captured. The aforementioned Court not only issued the prison sentence, but they must also pay $1,200 to the victim as civil liability,” said the Prosecutor’s Office.
