Perungudi Lawyer Brutally Murdered in Attack

Jaiganesh, a 33-year-old advocate from Kovilpatti in Thoothukudi district, was working as a lawyer in Saithappet Court in Chennai. He had a wife and two sons. After playing cricket with his friends one day, he returned home only to be suddenly attacked by a gang with weapons including knives and sickles. Jaiganesh suffered serious injuries and collapsed in a pool of blood. He was taken to Rayapet Government Hospital where he died on the way.

Upon learning of his death, relatives, fellow lawyers, and friends protested at the hospital demanding the immediate arrest of the culprits. The police have launched an investigation under the supervision of Additional Commissioner Premanand Sinha, Assistant Commissioner Jeevanandham, and Durai Pakkam Inspector Senthilmurugan. The investigation has revealed that members of a rowdy gang had followed Jaiganesh and planned to kill him. The police are reviewing surveillance footage to identify the killers.

The reason for Jaiganesh’s murder is yet unknown. It is speculated that the mob may have killed him due to enmity or for representing the opposing mob in court. The incident has created a sensation in Chennai.

Jaiganesh (age 33) hails from Perungudi Rajivnagar area next to Chennai. His native place is Kovilpatti in Thoothukudi district. He used to work as a lawyer in Saithappet Court, Chennai.

Jaiganesh has a wife named Thirunamagi Murugeswari and 2 sons. Jaiganesh had gone out with his friends the day before and played cricket at the ground in the same area.

Neighbors rescued him as he fought for his life and took him to Rayapet Government Hospital. The doctors who examined him there said that Jaiganesh died on the way.

Knowing this, Jaiganes’ relatives and fellow lawyers and friends gathered at the Rayapetta Government Hospital. They protested for the immediate arrest of the culprits who killed Jaiganesh. The police pacified them.

Under the supervision of Additional Commissioner Premanand Sinha, Assistant Commissioner Jeevanandham and Durai Pakkam Inspector Senthilmurugan have registered a case regarding the murder and are searching for clues about the killers. Investigation revealed that 2 and more people had killed Jaiganesh.
