Actor Petr Vondráček, 49, once played an elegant archer in the television series Rodinná pouta (Very Fragile Relationships), but his personal life has often mirrored a similarly dramatic script. For years, he shared a life with actress Barbora Janatková, 44, and together they welcomed a daughter, Anička, now 15.
The actor’s relationship with Janatková faced public scrutiny when he was photographed passionately kissing dancer Adéla Hájková on the street. Vondráček subsequently attributed the incident to intoxication, stating, ““What can I say about it, it just happened and now I’m not going to do anything about it”,” according to reports at the time. Rumors circulated about other romantic interests, though the full extent of the situation remains unclear.
A Quiet Split and a New Relationship
Prior to the public display of affection, Vondráček and Janatková appeared to enjoy a stable relationship, though the actor had expressed disinterest in marriage. ““We’re fine like this, we don’t need paper. And that the seventh year in a relationship is a crisis? That doesn’t apply to us, on the contrary, we enjoy it a lot,”” he remarked. However, in 2018, Vondráček confirmed their quiet separation. While he acknowledged having a new girlfriend, he initially maintained that she preferred to remain out of the public eye, as she was not involved in the entertainment industry. He was later seen with Hájková on several occasions.
The couple publicly acknowledged their relationship at a social event in 2020, with Vondráček stating, ““We have been together for a long time, a few years,”” and expressing his happiness. He indicated a shift in his lifestyle, prioritizing time with his daughter Anička and enjoying quieter pursuits like watching movies and enjoying good food.

More recently, Vondráček has been linked to singer Šárka Vaňková, 38, who gained prominence as a finalist on the singing competition SuperStar. The pair first appeared together publicly at a training session for the Angel competition for medical professionals. Vaňková stated at the time, ““I have to admit that Peter and I like each other and are a couple. I don’t need to shout it out to the world, it’s important for me that we enjoy our love in private,”” revealing they had known each other since their teenage years, having performed together in a play. Their romantic connection, however, blossomed years later during rehearsals for the play Presidenti.
Over two years later, the couple remains together. Vondráček, whose first known relationship was with Kateřina Hrachovcová, has consistently praised Vaňková. It appears the 11-year age difference hasn’t dampened their connection, with some suggesting Vaňková has brought a sense of stability to the actor’s life. The question of marriage, however, remains open. ““Maybe it will happen sometime, I don’t know”,” he smiled. Vaňková has openly expressed her desire to wear a wedding dress, leaving fans to wonder if a ceremony is in their future.
