| Plus Two Chemistry: Evaluation starting today with the updated answer key

Thiruvananthapuram: The evaluation of Plus Two to Chemistry answer sheets using the updated answer key will begin today. The teachers were of the view that an erroneous answer key was provided and would not be used for evaluation. Then, the evaluation will start today using the answer key prepared by the 15-member faculty appointed by the government. There is no need to worry about the delay in announcing the results. Shivankutty said.

He said the move was based on a serious view of the future of students and the psychological trauma of parents, and that he had instructed Mohammad Haneesh, the principal secretary of public education, to investigate the boycott of the assessment. Dual assessments are conducted for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The Minister said that all students will get the full marks they deserve.

Updated answer key for Plus Two Chemistry assessment has been published on the Department of Education portal. It is suggested that the evaluation should be in accordance with this‌. The steps to be taken in respect of the answer sheets which are currently being evaluated first will be clarified later in the circular. The Department of Education has suggested that the practical examinations should be resumed today.

Evaluation of Second Year Higher Secondary Answer Papers started on 28th April. Meanwhile, the chemistry evaluation was in dispute. The minister said that only a section of teachers in the subject of Chemistry were trying to create concern among students and parents. This is seen as a conscious attempt to sabotage the examination process.

The minister said that a section of teachers withdrew from the assessment without giving written notice.
