‘CPM held talks with RSS’; Satheesan rejected the Chief Minister’s allegations
Opposition leader VD Satheesan responded to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan who accused UDF of being behind the Jamaat-e-Islami-RSS discussion. Suspects about the Chief Minister are also absurd and the Chief Minister, who is currently on a fierce defense, is trying to change the subject, Satheesan said.
“What mistake did the UDF in Kerala make when Muslim organizations held talks with the RSS in New Delhi? Allegations are made which are unbecoming of the position of Chief Minister. It was the CPM that negotiated with the RSS. Kodiyeri and Pinarayi held talks with the RSS in Thiruvananthapuram through the mediation of Sri M, a spiritual teacher,” Satheesan added.

High Court says no political party representatives in temple management committees
High Court bans inclusion of political party representatives in temple management committees. The High Court order was on a petition against the selection of CPM local leaders as members of the Ottapalam Pookot Kalikav Temple Management Committee under the Malabar Devaswat. The court also found the election of CPM and DYFI local leaders Ashok Kumar, Ratheesh and Pankajashan to be invalid.

Dulquer Salmaan Dada Saheb Phalke Award. R. Dulquer won the award for his performance in ‘Chup: Revenge of the Artist’ directed by Balki. Dulquer has won the award in the ‘Best Actor in a Negative Role’ category. This is the first time that an actor from Malayalam has received this award.

Two persons in custody in Kozhikode nursing student gang-rape case
Two accused in the case of gang-rape of a nursing student are in custody. It is reported that the two are friends of the victim of torture.
Both of them, who were hiding in the city, were caught by knowing their location using the mobile network. Both will be questioned in detail. The police will take further action later.

POCSO case accused hanging dead at victim’s house
The accused in the Kozhikode POCSO case was found hanging dead on the car porch of the victim’s house. The incident took place when an eight-year-old girl was on bail in a case of kidnapping and rape. The victim girl is also a neighbor of the accused. The molestation took place in 2021. The police reached the spot and conducted an investigation and registered a case of unnatural death.
