Poland deploys 1,000 troops to the border with Belarus

Poland is sending an additional 1,000 troops and 200 pieces of military equipment to the border with Belarus, Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak wrote on his Twitter account.

“This is a demonstration of our readiness to respond to destabilization attempts near the borders of our country,” wrote Mariusz Blaszczak.

The operation, within the framework of which Poland strengthens the border with Belarus, was called “Safe Podlasie”.
