It was on Friday around 3pm that the police received a call about two injured men. At the scene, two people were found injured with stab or cut injuries. Both were taken to hospital.
The elderly man died as a result of his injuries and the other, a man in his 30s, suffered minor injuries.
Investigating murder
The arrested man is a suspect in the murder of the older man, but is not a suspect in the injuries to the younger one.
– A person was arrested yesterday on probable cause on suspicion of murder. The information we received during the afternoon made us focus on the person, says Chamber prosecutor Adrien Combier-Hogg.
Are there links to organized crime?
– That is one of the things we are looking at now. We must investigate whether there are links to crime, says the prosecutor.
Working on
During the weekend, work will continue to interview witnesses, carry out forensic examinations, look at mobile phones and any cameras in the area.
– It is about creating a chronological sequence of events.
The person must be requested to be detained no later than Monday at 12 noon.
