The Depca (Specialized Police Station for the Protection of Children and Adolescents of Mato Grosso do Sul), launched this Saturday (1), the e-book ‘Digital Threats – protect your children from the dangers of the internet’. The aim is to provide knowledge, practical resources and information to empower both parents and teens themselves.

The researchers, Jeferson da Silva Maidana, Juliana Kasai Loureiro de Souza, Anderson Antônio Alves Corrêa and delegate Anne Karine Sanches Trevizan Duarte are responsible for the digital book.

Among the content addressed are the laws in force in Brazil that protect young people against cybercrime, the role of digital education and parental control, and the measures that can be taken to prevent and deal with harmful incidents.

Within this, subjects such as types of cybercrime, online games, social engineering, parental control and applications are explored. The e-book also covers topics such as cyberbullying, grooming (harassment) and sexting (dissemination of erotic content and exposure to inappropriate content). Click here to download the e-book.
