Political prisoner Igor Alinevich was kept in a punishment cell for 20 days, reports the “Right to Revolt” telegram channel.
For what reason Olinevich ended up in the punishment cell is not specified.
A punishment cell is a small cell in which you are only allowed to take a toothbrush, toothpaste, toilet paper and soap. The colony staff gives you slippers instead of your usual shoes, a robe with the inscription “Philosophy Detention Center” without a collar, and a small towel.
The administration of the colony can send you to a punishment cell for any violation of internal regulations. According to the PEC, they can be sent to a punishment cell for up to 10 days. However, in practice, it happens that a prisoner spends several times for 10 days in a row in a detention center.
Let us remind you that anarchist movement activist Igor Olinevich, sentenced to 20 years in a maximum security colony, was transferred from the Mozyr colony to the Zhodino prison on August 11, 2022. After this, he was repeatedly placed in a punishment cell. As a sign of protest, the political prisoner went on a hunger strike.
In the Zhodino prison, pressure continues to be put on Igor Olinevich. It is known that he has already been placed in a punishment cell several times.
