On Monday (March 4) at noon in the meeting room of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Dr. He said this in the chief guest’s speech at an exchange meeting of senior officials of health care department and health education department with Rokeya Sultana.

Dr. Samant Lal Sen said, there is probably no one else who is more concerned about the health care of the people than the Prime Minister. The prime minister is thinking about many things to increase the quality of health care of the people of the country. The Prime Minister made me a health minister from a doctor. He also appointed a professional doctor as the state minister.

He further said, therefore the Prime Minister’s message is very clear. He wants to make visible improvement in the health sector of the country. In this regard, I and the State Minister both understand and know the expectations of the Prime Minister. We want to advance the work in such a way that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s expectations regarding the health care of the people of the country are fulfilled.

Dr. State Minister of Health who has just joined the meeting. Rokeya Sultana said, I started politics from student politics to the central level without the hope of getting any post. The Prime Minister has given me such a great honor to serve the people of the country. I worked as a doctor for 33 years. I know the health sector from the field level to the top. I have worked together with the current health minister since 1980. Hopefully, we can work together to fulfill the expectations of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the health sector.

Before the exchange meeting at 11:30 a.m., Health Minister Samant Lal Sen and State Minister of Health Dr. Rokeya Sultana spoke.

Secretary of Health Care Department. Azizur Rahman, Secretary of Health Education and Family Welfare Department, BMA President Dr. Mustafa Jalal Mohiuddin, Swachip president. Jamal Uddin Chowdhury, Director General of Health Department, Directorate of Family Planning, Directorate of Nursing, Health Economics Unit, DGDA and all Directorates of Health Sector and Additional Secretaries, Joint Secretaries of the Ministry spoke.
