Palladam: In Baruai Village, Palladam, Primary Agriculture Co-operative Society (No:6636) storage warehouse and ration shop is functioning. In one part of it, a huge hole has fallen. The ration shop management has been neglecting to plug this loophole for a long time. Manokaran, a shopkeeper, said, “There is a lot of pestilence due to the forest area behind the shop. There is a hole inside the shop because they have made a hole at night. The District Supply Officers have also inspected this. The society administrators have said that they will fix this,” he said. There is this hole made by the squatters inside the ration shop for more than six months. A large number of food items including rice and pulses are kept inside the ration shop. Due to the movement of people, there is a doubt whether the public will get healthy food items. The expectation of the public is that the association management should take action to close the loophole that has been there for a long time.
