Protests against Netanyahu return to Israel

Time.news – Dozens of protesters gathered outside the homes of political leaders Naftali Bennett, Gideon Sa’ar and Benny Gantz, urging them to not to form a government with the Israeli premier, Benjamin Netanyahu.

It is the first time since elections were held in the Jewish stateOn March 23, protests against the Likud leader return, the Jerusalem Post reported.

Protesters have announced that they will continue until Netanyahu leaves the office; rallies will take place in the next few days in various locations in the country, as well as in front of the court where the trial for corruption, fraud and abuse of office against the Likud leader. A permanent picket will be set up at the Independence Park in Jerusalem.

There was no clear winner from the polls: neither of the two main blocs has the 61-seat majority needed to create a government; the field that refers to Prime Minister Netanyahu has 52 seats while the opponents together total 57; the 7 seats of the ultra-nationalists of Yamina and 4 seats of the conservative Islamists of Ra’am remain outside these counts.

The premier met with Bennett in an attempt to persuade him to join lui but the ultra-nationalist did not want to dissolve the reserve.
