The 2020 Nobel Prize in Economics was awarded to Americans Paul R. Milgrom and Robert B. Wilson for “advances in auction theory and the invention of new auction systems,” says the Swedish Academy jury. Last year the award went to Abhijit Banerjee, Esther Duflo and Michael Kremer.
