Today, Wednesday, the Qatar national team qualified for the final of the Asian Cup, after defeating Iran (3-2) in the match that brought them together at Al Thumama Stadium, in the semi-finals.

Sardar Azmoun opened the scoring for the Iranian national team in the 4th minute, and Jassim Jaber scored the equalizer for the Qatar national team in the 17th minute, with a powerful shot from outside the penalty area that hit an Iranian national team defender and fell into the goal.
Akram Afif scored the lead goal for Qatar in the 43rd minute, with a powerful shot from inside the penalty area that went into the far corner of Iran’s goal.
The Iranian national team returned to a draw again, in the 52nd minute, from a penalty kick by Ali Reza, after the ball struck Ahmed Fathi’s hand inside the penalty area.
Almoez Ali scored the third goal for Qatar in the 82nd minute, after Abdulaziz Hatem’s shot, which he received and put into the goal.
The Qatar national team qualified for the final match, after defeating Iran, setting up a match against the Jordan national team in an all-Arab final in the Asian Cup.
