Former “The Bachelorette” Star Rachel Lindsay Opens Up About Divorce Before Split from Bryan Abasolo

In a recent podcast interview with fellow Bachelor Nation star Nick Viall, Rachel Lindsay shared insight into her four-year marriage with Bryan Abasolo, just two weeks before he filed for divorce. The former “The Bachelorette” star revealed that their work schedules often conflicted and that they lived “totally different lives.”

Lindsay explained that their differing schedules and lifestyles were the reason they rarely posted about their relationship on social media. “We’re just in two totally different places, so there’s not a lot of time to take pictures of each other and show what we’re doing,” she said on Viall’s “The Viall Files” podcast.

The 38-year-old also addressed the criticism they faced after getting engaged on the 2017 season of “The Bachelorette,” stating that the negativity led them to keep their relationship private. “I did that because people were so critical to us when we came off the show,” Lindsay said. “I just was like, ‘I just want to keep this for ourselves.’ So, when I want to share something, I do.”

She emphasized that their marriage had its ups and downs, but they chose to keep it private. “Marriage has its ups and downs, but you never know when we’re good or when we’re not because we really just don’t put it out there. That’s just kind of always been us,” Lindsay added.

These comments from Lindsay come as a surprise to many, as Abasolo recently filed for divorce. The couple, who met and got engaged on the reality TV show, had been seen as a success story among “The Bachelor” franchise. The news of their split has left fans and followers of their relationship in shock.

As the rose-colored glasses come off, their relationship’s private nature has only added to the surprise, leaving many to wonder what led to the end of their marriage.
