Rahmanullah Gurbaz’s wild half-century…Afghanistan set a tough target for Sri Lanka

The Asia Cup cricket series is going on in full swing in the United Arab Emirates. In Group A, India and Pakistan teams, and in Group B, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka have advanced to the Super 4 round, and the match between Afghanistan and Sri Lanka is going on.

Sri Lanka captain Dasun Shanaka has elected to field after winning the toss in the first match of the ongoing Sri Lanka-Afghanistan Super Round in Sharjah.

Afghanistan Team:

Hazratullah Sezai, Rahmanullah Gurbaz (wicket keeper), Ibrahim Zadran, Najibullah Zadran, Karim Janat, Mohammad Nabi (captain), Rashid Khan, Shamiullah Shinwari, Naveen ul Haq, Mujeebur Rahma, Fazalhaq Farooqui.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz, the opener of the Afghanistan team, who batted first, scored a half-century. He scored 84 runs off 45 balls with 4 fours and 6 sixes, falling short of his century by 16 runs.

Ibrahim Jadran scored 40 off 38 balls. Najibullah Jadran scored 17 runs off 10 balls. Rahmanullah Gurbaz’s ferocious batting helped Afghanistan score 175 runs in 20 overs and set Sri Lanka a tough target of 176 runs.
