Rahul Gandhi: BJP MPs ran away when youths entered Parliament with smoke canisters

by time news

The Lok Sabha witnessed chaos on the 13th as two youths breached security and threw colored smoke canisters into the area where MPs were sitting. The incident led to a series of protests by opposition MPs, who demanded an explanation from Union Home Minister Amit Shah. As a result, the number of suspended MPs has risen to 146 since last week.

In response to the continuous suspension of opposition MPs in Parliament, India’s alliance parties have organized a nationwide protest. Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi and leaders of alliance parties joined a protest led by Congress president Mallikarjuna Kharge at Delhi’s Jandar Mantar area.

Rahul Gandhi criticized the media for not covering the incident and accused the BJP MPs of fleeing when the smoke canisters were thrown. He highlighted the issue of unemployment in the country and criticized the government for not addressing it. Gandhi also expressed concern over the silencing of millions of voters who elected the now suspended MPs.

He emphasized the importance of MPs representing the voices of their constituents and underscored the need for the government to prioritize the welfare of the people. Gandhi concluded by stating that the conflict is between love and hate, and expressed hope that the government would understand the concerns of the youth.
