Chandigarh: Shiromani Akali Dal leader has called for hoisting the Sikh flag instead of the tricolor on Independence Day. Sungrur MP and senior leader Simranjit Singh Mann came forward with the controversial call. There is a huge protest against Simranjit on the remark.
As part of Har Ghar Tiranga, the central government has called for hoisting the tricolor flag in every house. But Simranjith says that as part of the campaign, it is enough to hoist the Sikh flag at home. As part of Harghar Tiranga, Simranjit’s call is to hoist the Sikh flag at homes on August 14 and 15.
Earlier, Simranjith’s remarks regarding the Independence Day celebrations were very controversial. Not to throw the flag, but to make Ladakh free from China. In addition to this, Simranjith said that the poor should be given food and housing.
