The Muthanna Investment Authority announced today, Friday, the resumption of work at the Muthanna Cement Plant with a high production capacity exceeding (2) million tons annually.
The head of the Muthanna Investment Authority, Engineer Adel Dakhel Al-Yasiri, said in a statement received by the (INA): “The work is currently taking place at a high speed, with exceptional efforts within a specific record time, after it was almost halted for matters related to signing the contract and the investing company.”
He added, “The factory has the approval of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals and the Geological Survey, and (400) dunams were allocated to the factory after the approval of the Ministry of Finance.”
He stressed that “within a short period of time, the factory’s commercial production of cement (regular and resistant) will be launched,” pointing out that “the factory will provide great job opportunities for the unemployed through direct labor inside the factory or in the quarries of raw materials and matters supporting the factory.”
