Riyadh: Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport has won the International Award for Excellence in Passenger and Operation Operations and Terminal Development over the past 12 months. Riyadh has topped the list of developed airports at this year’s World Airport Awards by the international agency Skytrax, which examines the quality of airports worldwide.

Dammam King Fahad International Airport was ranked third in the top 10 in this category. Saudi Arabia has thus achieved a double standard. LaGuardia Airport in New York is in second place in this category. The Skytrax World Airport Award was announced and presented at the Passenger Terminal Expo in Paris.

The award is based on a month – long survey of travelers from 100 countries around the world’s 550 airports. Riyadh ranks first and Dammam third among so many airports in the world in terms of quality and development.
