Roskomnadzor blocked the website of the American software developer Zendesk in Russia. This is due to the publication of a message about financial support from Ukraine, reported Interfax.
“Roskomnadzor has limited access to the foreign resource zendesk.com due to the failure to remove prohibited content: materials containing information about providing financial support to Ukraine,” the supervisory agency clarified.
Zendesk left Russia and curtailed its activities in the country in March 2022. The American IT corporation has been operating in the software market since 2007. The organization held an initial public offering (IPO) in 2014.
Earlier, Roskomnadzor announced the development of criteria for blocking sites that provide access to resources prohibited in Russia. The regulator named seven reasons for blocking, including a description of how to enter the blocked site. The corresponding order of the department may come into force on March 1, 2024 and will be valid until September 1, 2029.
