Roskosmos considers it premature to talk about flights of Russians on Starliner

by time news

Roskosmos said that talk about flights of Russian cosmonauts into orbit on Starliner as part of cross-flights is still premature. The state corporation noted that the American ship “did not make a single flight without comment.”

“It is premature to talk about the possibility of Russian cosmonauts flying on it,” the Roscosmos press service told TASS.

In June, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed an executive order that allows Roscosmos to negotiate with NASA about cross-flights. Russia can include an American astronaut in the Soyuz MS-22 crew, and the United States can take a Russian cosmonaut on the Crew Dragon spacecraft. Its launch is scheduled for September 1st. Roskosmos proposed the candidacy of Anna Kikina, she is already undergoing training in the United States.
