Rostec has supplied the Russian Ministry of Defense with the first batch of modernized 2S19M2 Msta-S self-propelled artillery systems. The updated vehicles will be able to hit targets with several projectiles from different trajectories at once, reported press service of the state corporation.

The vehicles were also equipped with an automated guidance and fire control system (ASUNO-M) with increased accuracy and the ability to display an electronic map of the territory. This system also works in mountainous areas. Another update was the reduction in the visibility level of the Msta-S in the radar, thermal and optical ranges.

The new Msta-S howitzers were first delivered to the troops on June 29. They were developed by Uraltransmash, a subsidiary of Rostec.
