The death toll from the Moscow shopping mall shooting has risen to 40 dead and more than 100 wounded.
Russian news agencies reported on Friday evening that “the incident began with gunfire, followed by a fire in a concert hall in a Moscow suburb.”
She added, “The incident, the nature of which is not yet clear, took place in Crocus City Hall, a concert hall located northwest of the Russian capital.”
She pointed out that “there were casualties after gunshots were fired from a machine gun,” noting that “three gunmen who were wearing camouflage clothing opened fire inside a hall in the commercial complex in the Russian capital.”
Meanwhile, Russian media reports stated that “several people were trapped in the mall as a result of the fire caused by the explosion.”
