Sahal Abdul Samad, the Malayalee player of ISL (Indian Super League) football glamor club Kerala Blasters FC, welcomed the news that Indian club football will last for nine months from the 2022 – 2023 season. Sahal Abdul Samad said that the days of playing competitive football will continue to nurture Indian football professionally and it will be beneficial for the players to have more opportunities.

Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL), the organizers of the ISL, have told teams that the club fights will take place over nine months from next season. The 2022 – 2023 season will start from August. The season ends in May 2023. Football excitement in India will be parallel to the World Club football season.

Kerala Blasters; Eight years of dream fulfillment
The nine-month season will go a long way in improving the performance of professional football players. That’s exactly what a player needs. More match time, more matches, and continuing to play football throughout the season – this is what football players need. It’s a very good thing that the very long duration between the two seasons is currently gone. The distance between the two seasons often causes players to lag behind in physical fitness, ”said Sahal Abdul Samad.

When players are more competitive and able to spend time on the field, they can stay fit. As the distance between seasons decreases, players can continue to focus on football. “I believe the nine-month season has been very productive for me to grow professionally,” said Sahal, who is also a member of the Indian team.
