Egyptian star Mohamed Salah led his team, Liverpool, to victory over its guest, Brighton, 2-1, in the 30th round of the English Premier League.
Salah scored his team’s second goal in the 65th minute, after receiving a through pass from his Argentine teammate Alexis McAllister.
According to what was reported by the Opta statistics network, Salah fired 12 shots against Brighton’s goal, which is the largest number of shots he has scored in a single match in the English Premier League.
She added: “This is the highest number of shots made by a Liverpool player in one league match,” since Opta began collecting these statistics in the 2003-2004 season.
Opta added that this is the highest number of shots by a Premier League player in one match, since the Swedish Zlatan Ibrahimovic also fired 12 shots, in his team’s Manchester United match against Burnley in October 2016.
