With a lead of 103 runs, New Zealand went into bat in the second innings and ended the second day with 198 for the loss of 5 wickets. The lead was taken by 301 runs. Tom Blundell is unbeaten on 30 and Glenn Phillips on 9. Both of them will come out to bat tomorrow on the third day on Saturday.
India ended the first day with 16 runs for the loss of 1 wicket before going to the midday break today, 7 wickets down for 107 runs. After the break, they were all out for 156 runs in 7.3 overs.
India lost the wicket of Shubman Gill (30) after 50 runs. He was lbw by Santner. Virat Kohli came and played 9 balls and scored 1 run and was bowled by Santner’s spin. India’s run was then 56. Jaiswal returned after being dismissed by Phillips after 70 runs. 30 runs come from his bat.
