Narrating an incident at the beginning of the talk, Shriya Saran says, ‘Every relationship goes through tough and good times. I remember, everything was not right, I was uncomfortable. Andrei came from Thane for the premiere. Of course he was tired. He was there for me, I for him. I was very nervous so he kissed me. That was enough to put me at ease.’
The couple’s private moment quickly turned into practice. Shriya said, ‘Everyone finds fun in it and laughs. But surprisingly the photographer asked us to kiss again.’
‘Exposing yourself in public is not a crime as long as you don’t make others uncomfortable. If a simple kiss can bring something positive into someone’s life, then where is the problem?’ Shriya said.
Explaining the reason for kissing in public, actress Shriya of ‘Drishyam’ fame said, ‘Everyone kisses. But I think not everyone is comfortable in front of the camera. But it’s fine for me. Because I feel comfortable. I am an extrovert. We kiss regardless of whether we are in a public place or not. Because kissing is a natural thing. It makes us happy, that’s why we kiss. There is no reason other than that.’
In 2018, Shriya married Andrei Kochev in a royal ceremony in Udaipur, India. Andrei is a businessman. He has an organic food restaurant. The couple has a daughter.
