BOLZANO. Cassa di Risparmio di Bolzano (Sparkasse), its subsidiary Banca di Cividale and Nexi have signed an agreement for the transfer of the banking activities to the Nexi Group. merchant acquiring, i.e. those relating to card paymentsand for the creation of a long-term partnership aimed at the exclusive promotion and placement of all Nexi merchant acquiring products and services through the Sparkasse Group’s commercial network.
The agreement, which enhances merchant acquiring activities 30.8 million, of which 22.8 million for Sparkasse and 8 million for Civibankin addition to a variable fee based on the achievement of specific objectives, will allow the Sparkasse Group to offer local merchants and companies all the innovative products and services in the collection systems developed by Nexi, which has always been a reference Italian player in the digital payments and operator of primary standing in Europe.
The closing of the transaction is expected in the first half of 2024.
