The match saw early opportunities for both sides. In the sixth minute, Maikon attempted a breakthrough for Levski, delivering a shot that was ultimately too weak and easily collected by Spartak Varna’s goalkeeper, Maxim Kovalev. Ten minutes later, the Brazilian forward again tested the defense, but his shot from the arc proved inaccurate.
The breakthrough came in the 21st minute when Georgi Kostadinov delivered a precise parallel pass. A failed attempt to intercept by Matteo Petrashillo allowed Everton Bala to seize control and score, finding the lower right corner of the net to put Levski ahead 0-1.
The visitors continued to press, with another chance arising in the 36th minute. Following a chaotic scramble and a weak clearance, the ball fell to Everton Bala once more. His shot from the edge of the penalty area, aimed towards the near left corner, was thwarted by a crucial save from Kovalev.
The final score remained Spartak Vn – Levski 0:1, with Everton Bala’s 21st-minute goal proving to be the decisive moment.
