Stock Market | Sensex fell 536 points

MUMBAI: Today (Wednesday) trade in the Mumbai stock market started with a decline. The Sensex fell 290 points to 60,382 in early trade. Similarly, the NSE Nifty fell 68 points to 17,758.

Stock markets started trading on a lower note on Wednesday. As of 10:29 am, the Sensex was down 536.21 points at 60,136.51. The Nifty fell 157.85 points to 17,668.85 on the national bourse.

Equity markets which started with decline due to prevailing adverse environment of global markets continued with fall in intra-day trade due to declines in heavyweight stocks.

In terms of individual stocks, Sunpharma Industries, Maruti Suzuki were bullish. M&M, TCS, Nestle India, ITC, ICICI Bank, Hindustan Unilever, Tata Steel, HDFC, HDFC Bank, Infosys, L&T, Titan Company, Kotak Mahindra Bank, State Bank of India, Asian Paints, Tata Motors, Wipro , Powergrid Corporation, Reliance Industries, Bajaj Finserv shares were in decline.
