It was at the Woodlands Hotel in Madras that the screenwriter Panchu told Arunachalam sir that he wanted to meet Rajinikanth for the first time. There he called Rajinikanth for me. I was surprised to see him. She introduced me as a film actress from Kerala. Panchu Arunachalam said that the name should be changed for Tamil films and Rajnishree. He was initially cast for the film Veera. But it didn’t happen. It was only later that I was invited to Muthu’- says Zuma.
Meena was the heroine in Muthu. Zuma was called as the second heroine. But Suma was unable to act in Muthu due to his busy schedule with other films. Even today, Suma remembers with sadness that despite getting an opportunity to act with a big star like Rajinikanth, it didn’t happen.
