The Stony Brook swimming and diving team kicked off the 2025 ECAC Championships in East meadow, New York, with a series of impressive showings.A total of 14 Seawolves qualified for Friday night’s finals after excelling in the preliminary heats, demonstrating the team’s depth and talent. This momentum carried into the finals, where Stony Brook achieved three second-place finishes.
The Seawolves’ success was underscored by strong individual and relay performances. Specifically, Stony Brook athletes secured second-place finishes in the 500-yard freestyle, the 200-yard individual medley (IM), and the 400-yard medley relay. These results highlight the versatility and competitive edge of the team.
At the close of day one, Stony Brook amassed a total of 484.50 points, establishing a clear lead over all competing teams.

The Seawolves will resume competition tomorrow for day two of the 2025 ECAC Championships.
