Loroum/Mouloud 2023: Tansaliga calls on good neighborliness

Ouahigouya, (AIB) – The Muslim community commemorated on Wednesday September 27, 2023, the birth of the prophet of Islam, Mohamed in Tansaliga in sector 1 of Titao, in the Northern region.

“Strengthening good neighborliness” is the theme that served as food for reflection for the Muslim faithful on the day of September 27, 2023 in the Tansaliga mosque, a locality located in sector 1 of Titao.

Around Cheick Mahamadi Ouédraogo of Songtaaba, Muslim scholars and faithful communed in religious fervor.

Between reading the Koran and preaching, Muslims have glorified the memory of the Prophet Mohamed (PBUH). Inspired by hadiths (life of the prophet of Islam), the speakers showed the assistant the need to promote good neighborliness in the community.

The preachers recalled that living in perfect harmony with the neighborhood consists of promoting peace and social cohesion.

According to them, living together begins with good neighborliness, because the neighbor is the first brother in the community.

According to Cheick Amadé Ouédraogo, the head of the organizing committee, it is a duty for a good Muslim to promote good neighborliness.

“We commemorated Mouloud in peace. I am already satisfied by the strong mobilization of the Muslim faithful and the solidarity of traditional and traditional religions. We pray to God that the country regains peace and social cohesion,” said Cheick Ouédraogo.

The Mouloud commemoration saw a strong mobilization of the Muslim faithful and a notable presence of traditional leaders and other religious faiths.

“In the name of all traditional leaders, we have come to support our Muslim brothers in this important event,” underlined Naaba Kossodo de Rounga, the representative of traditional leaders.

Jean Sawadogo, cathechist in Titao, represented the Catholic community. “We came to bring our solidarity to the Muslim brothers. There is no event among Christians without Muslims coming to show us their solidarity. It was our duty to come and support them in turn”

During the ceremony, 16 imams were elevated to the rank of sheik in the community.

In view of the security situation, this ceremony which, in the past, consisted of a prayer vigil and attracted a large number of people coming from the four corners of the country and outside, has been held for several years, during the day within the mosque.
