Tata recently launched an electric car called ‘Tata Diego EV’ in the Indian auto market. 4 variants XE, XT, XZ+ and XZ+ Tech Lux were introduced. The base variant of the all-electric hatchback is priced at Rs. 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom), while the top-end variant is priced at Rs. 11.79 lakh (ex-showroom) was also announced.
When to order, delivery?
Bookings for the Tata Tiago EV will begin today. Tata Tiago can be booked by paying Rs 21,000 at authorized dealers of Tata Motors or on the brand’s official website. Tata Motors also said that the Tata Tiago EV will be showcased at leading malls in major cities this month.
As for the test drives of this electric car, it seems that it will start by the end of December. So customers who want to test drive this car can test it in the month of December. It has also been announced that the sales for those who have booked will start from January 2023.
It is also informed that the delivery date will be modified based on the color, time, date and variations chosen by the customer.

Battery Performance:
The Tata Tiago EV uses a lithium-ion battery pack. It comes in two variants, 19.2kWh and 24kWh, with IP67 rated battery packs for dust and water resistance. The 19.2kWh battery is said to be capable of a range of 250km on a full charge, while the 24kWh battery backup is said to be capable of a range of 315km. It is claimed to accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in 5.7 seconds. It has City and Sport driving modes and 4 Regen modes based on Ziptron technology.

Charging Speed:
When charging the Tata Tiago EV, the battery can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in just 65 minutes using a 25 kW fast charger. 15A, 3.3kW AC and 7.2kWh AC can be charged through the same plug point. As for DC fast charging, it adds 110 km of range in just 30 minutes while charging from 10-80 percent in just 157 minutes.

The Tata Tiago Electric comes loaded with premium features like leatherette seats, contrast roof, fully automatic climate control, projector auto head lamps, rain sensing wipers, cruise control. With a 4-star safety rating from Global NCAP, the car is available in 5 color options namely Teal Blue, Daytona Grey, Pristine White, Midnight Plum and Tropical Mist. It also supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
