For her third album, the techno producer has only one goal: to make her listeners dance. Wherever they are. On the dance floor of a club or in their living room. Which does not prevent the expression of a certain sensuality that we find expressed on this flashing cover.

The idea

“At first, I had the idea of a drawing of a flower in which a face would be hidden. A kind of optical illusion, like a phenomenon of pareidolia. When I was little, my parents had a board with riddles based on Epinal images, like in children’s games. The questions were very simple, the answer was hidden in the drawing. Looking back, I think the idea for this cover came from there. The album is called Rose Fluo. We expect a color, but it is the rose itself that is represented. I like this idea of interlocking, of dissimulation, of hidden message because my pieces themselves always have several levels of reading.

The realization

“The basic working drawing comes from me. I drew it with a ballpoint pen on a white sheet then I sent it to the illustrator Ruben Gérard who embellished the proposal by developing the graphics, the balance, as well as the coloring. Ruben created the cover for my first album, Hyper Cristal. I wanted the visuals of my first and third album to respond to each other.”

The Rose

“Flowers, especially roses, have always been part of my world. They are my favorite flower and on stage, they surround me. It is a noble flower, symbol of love. I live in the countryside and there are flowers everywhere, both in the garden and on the wallpaper. It’s also a nod to my throwing roses to the public during my concerts. The rose also refers to the story of Saint Rita who, on her deathbed, asked for a rose to be brought to her even though it was winter. Rita is the name of my very first EP, released in 2017.

The face

“My face, with closed eyes, expresses the dream or letting go. Techno is often listened to with your eyes closed to leave room for the imagination. This personification of the rose also evokes the well-known scene from Alice in Wonderland: A flowery May morning, where flowers, in a strange choir under the wand of a red rose, open wide their corollas to sing in chorus this song with Alice.”
