Woman Arrested After Razors Found Hidden in Bread at Biloxi Walmart Stores

A Texas woman has been arrested and charged with attempted mutilation after authorities say she intentionally concealed razor blades within loaves of bread at two Walmart stores in Biloxi, Mississippi. The incident has prompted a public safety alert and a full investigation by the Biloxi Police Department.

A Walmart spokesperson stated, “The health and safety of our customers is always a top priority.”

Razor Blades Discovered by Customers

The first report came on December 5, when a customer purchasing bread at a Walmart Supercenter discovered a razor inside a loaf. Three days later, on December 8, another customer found a razor blade in a package of bread purchased at a Walmart Neighborhood Market in Biloxi. Following a new complaint received on Sunday, employees at the Supercenter conducted a thorough inspection and found multiple loaves of bread that had been deliberately tampered with.

Suspect Identified and Charged

Camille Benson, 33, originally from Texas, was subsequently arrested and charged with attempted mutilation. Authorities set her bail at $100,000. According to Lt. Candace Young, public information officer for the Biloxi Police Department, Benson is the primary suspect in the case.

Walmart’s Response and Customer Advisory

Walmart has removed all potentially affected products from the impacted stores and is cooperating fully with the police investigation. The company is urging customers who purchased bread at either the Biloxi Walmart Supercenter or the Walmart Neighborhood Market to carefully inspect their packages before consumption.

Customers who find any evidence of tampering are advised to dispose of the product immediately and visit their local Walmart for a full refund.

Limited Scope of Incident

The Biloxi Police Department believes the tampering was isolated to the two Biloxi Walmart locations and currently doubts that any other stores were affected. Authorities continue to investigate the motive behind the alleged actions.
