An 87-year-old woman was found unconscious with signs of hypothermia in an apartment in Jerusalem. MDA medics and paramedics treated her and evacuated her to Shaare Zedek Hospital, where she was anesthetized and resuscitated.
MDA paramedic Rachel Konan said: “When we arrived at the apartment, we joined the fire brigade and the police, who broke into the apartment and found the woman lying in a vague consciousness on the cold floor. We were told that she talks to an acquaintance every day to make sure she is okay and today she did not contact us and they took care of her. We provided her with medical care that included heating, fluids and providing breathing assistance. We wrapped her in a special blanket that keeps her body warm and evacuated her to the hospital when he was breathing. “
