Berlin – Yes, what now? In their exploratory talks for a new government for Berlin, the SPD, the Greens and the Left have agreed that a total of 200,000 new apartments will be built by 2030. According to the Senate Department for Urban Development, only 121,000 apartments will actually be needed between 2022 and 2030. If you add the expected completion of 16,000 apartments for this year, a total of 137,000 apartments will be sufficient by 2030 to meet the demand.
