The Civil Guard has acquired 118 units of 100% electric Renault Megane E-Tech as part of the energy transition plan in the General State Administration.

This fleet will be used for patrol and surveillance tasks and will travel 200 kilometers a day, avoiding local emissions of more than 3 tons of CO2 per day during its use and without noise pollution in the environment.

The relationship between Mégane and the Civil Guard is historic. To date, there have already been four generations of Renault Megane that have worn the characteristic green color of the Civil Guard, a model that began its commercialization in 1995 and that has served as an ideal tool of the Corps throughout these last decades.

Now, the 100% electric Megane E-Tech becomes part of this story thanks to the delivery of 118 units to this Corps framed in the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, financed with European funds and which is within the Energy Transition Plan in the General Administration of the State.

This fleet of 118 vehicles will be assigned to different Commands and will be used mainly in patrol and surveillance tasks, traveling an average of 200 km per day. This is why the qualities of the 100% electric Megane E-Tech configured in a techno version with the 220 HP electric motor and the 60 kWh battery respond perfectly to your needs, offering top-level performance, a range of up to 450 km and the possibility of quick charging at 130 kW that allows you to recover 200 km of highway driving in 30 minutes. The model also stands out for its great interior habitability, unprecedented in a vehicle with its exterior dimensions typical of a B segment (4.21 m long) and which facilitate the maneuverability of the car and its use in urban environments without losing an iota. of poise on fast roads.

Furthermore, by having 100% electric motorization, this fleet will avoid local emissions of more than 3 tons of CO2 per day during its use* and without noise pollution in the environment while benefiting from the Zero Emissions environmental label provided by the General Directorate of Traffic.

In an institutional event that took place at the Mobile Material Service of the Civil Guard located on Príncipe de Vergara Street in Madrid, the delivery of this fleet by Fernando Gil Llorente, Head of the Mobile Material Service of the Civil Guard, took place. the Civil Guard, and Sébastien Guigues, General Director of Renault and Alpine in Spain and Portugal.
