The competitions of the 29th Azerbaijan Championship and the Baku Acrobatic Gymnastics Championship started at the Heydar Aliyev Sports and Concert Complex in Baku, Day.Az reported on Thursday with reference to Trend.
The competition will take place over two days – April 25-26, with 71 gymnasts taking part.
The participants of the competition are students of the Specialized Children and Youth School of the Olympic Reserve in Gymnastics, the Ojag Sports Club, the Neftchi Sports Club and the Specialized Children and Youth Sports School of the Olympic Reserve No. 13.
Athletes compete for competition medals as part of women’s pairs (age category “toddlers” (born 2009-2018) and “children” (born 2008-2013)); male couples (“adults” (born 2009 and older)); mixed couples (“adults” (born 2009 and older)); women’s groups (“children” (born 2008-2013), “pre-juniors” (born 2006-2012), “juniors” (born 2005-2010), “adults” (born 2009) born and older)) and men’s groups (“pre-juniors” (born 2006-2012), “adults” (born 2009 and older)).
Gymnasts demonstrate balance, tempo and mixed exercises.
