New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the India Mobile Congress 2024 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi on Tuesday. During this, he said that the country is making 6 times more mobile phones than before. He also said that the country is paying attention to quality service. PM Modi also told about the space mission in his address. He said that the country’s space mission is also working at a fast pace. PM Modi said that all the districts in the country have been connected to 5G service.
National Mobile Congress is a tech event. This time its 6th event is being organized. It will be organized till 18th October. More than 120 countries around the world are participating in this event. Besides, more than 400 exhibitors and around 900 startups are also present in it. Also, more than three thousand representatives from more than 190 countries have participated in it. Union Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia was also present along with PM Modi in the inauguration ceremony of this event.

Unique identity created in optical fiber
PM Modi also talked about optical fiber in the country. He said that the length of optical fiber that India has laid in the last 10 years is eight times more than the distance between the Earth and the Moon.
He said that 2 years ago we had launched 5G in the Mobile Congress itself, today almost every district of India has been connected to 5G service. PM Modi said that today India has become the second largest 5G market in the world and now we are also working rapidly on 6G technology.
Telecom becomes medium of equity and opportunity
PM Modi said that India’s mobile and telecom journey in the 21st century is a subject of study for the whole world. He said that in the world mobile and telecom were seen as a convenience, but India’s model has been different. In India, we made telecom not just a medium of connectivity but also a medium of equity and opportunity. Today this medium is helping in bridging the gap between village and city, rich and poor.
