the crazy celebrations of Montpellier, champions of France for the first time (video)

by time news

Montpellier Hérault Rugby won the first title in its history on Friday evening, dominating Castres Olympique (29-10) at the Stade de France. Philippe Saint-André’s players, authors of a remarkable mastery final, then celebrated this historic moment with dignity for the MHR. PSA had found the words to motivate its players before the match: “I told them : “If you’re champions, we’ll be on the roof all week!”

Dances, cigars, slides on the shield of Brennus… It’s all been there. Before joining Montpellier and parading in front of their supporters who are waiting for them at Place de la Comédie this Saturday from 8 p.m., some MHR players, including third-line Marco Tauleigne, even went to brandish the Brennus shield at the Pride March which was held this Saturday in the streets of Paris. Find in video the best moments of their celebrations.
