The death toll from Typhoon Roy, which struck the Philippines, and its aftermath has risen to 75.
The roofs of the houses were blown away by the cyclone which was blowing at a speed of 195 kmph. The storm weakened but was followed by heavy rains that submerged various parts of the state.
With 3 lakh people staying in camps, work is underway to drain the rainwater that has accumulated in the flats. Authorities say the death toll has risen to 75 so far and the search for the missing continues.
