The Fuel Crisis Committee holds a meeting to discuss distribution mechanisms during Ramadan

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Directorate Affairs in the Government of National Unity and Chairman of the Committee for Resolving the Fuel and Gas Crisis, Major General Bashir Al-Amin, chaired an expanded meeting, which included members of the committee, to discuss mechanisms for distributing fuel and gas to all cities during the holy month of Ramadan.

The meeting was attended by the general coordinator of the committee, the head of the Border Guard, the head of the Municipal Guard, and the security directors of the Western Plain, North of the Mountain, West of the Mountain, Central of the Mountain, and the Wazen land crossing.

The meeting focused on ensuring the provision of citizens’ needs for fuel and gas during the month of Ramadan, which witnesses an increase in demand for these basic commodities, and fair and smooth distribution mechanisms for fuel and gas to all Libyan cities, with a focus on remote and needy areas, according to what was reported by the Libyan News Agency.

The attendees stressed the importance of cooperation between various stakeholders, including the Ministry of Interior, oil companies, and security services, to ensure the success of distribution plans and ensure that fuel and gas reach all citizens.

The meeting was also attended by the head of the Public Security Service branch and security positions, the operations director of the Brega Oil Marketing Company, the sales director of the Brega Oil Marketing Company and Al-Zawiya, the operations management of the Al-Zawiya warehouse, the representative of the Internal Security Service, and representatives of the Libyan oil companies, Al-Rahila, Al-Sharara, and Al-Tariqa.
