The government approved the eighth measure to neutralize the economic consequences of the coronavirus.
The aim of the event is to support salaried workers and individual entrepreneurs in the private sector affected by the spread of the coronavirus. In particular:
· hotel and guesthouse services,
· public catering services,
· tourist services,
· services of hairdressers and beauty salons,
· retail trade services, including organized buying and selling activities in a shopping center or place of trade.
In the sense of this measure, the retail services in which food and/or tobacco and/or medicines and/or alcoholic beverages are also sold (regardless of the size and proportion) are not considered to be affected sectors.
The procedure and conditions for determining the amount of support for employees of employer business entities (including individual entrepreneurs) operating in more than one sector (one or more of which are included in the affected sectors, and the rest are not) (hereinafter referred to as the Employer) are defined by the government decision.
The procedure and conditions for determining the amount of support for Beneficiary individual entrepreneurs operating in more than one sector (one or more of which are included in the Affected Sectors, and the rest are not) are defined by the government’s decision.
Salaried workers are Beneficiaries if they were salaried workers of the Affected Sectors between March 13 and March 30, 2020.
Support is provided as a one-time payment:
for an employee in the amount of 50 percent of the average monthly salary calculated for the months of January and February 2020, but not less than the amount of the minimum salary and not more than twice the amount of the minimum salary, if the average monthly salary of the employee exceeds the amount of the minimum salary,
in the amount of the average monthly salary calculated for the salaried employee for the months of January and February 2020, if the average monthly salary of the salaried employee is less than the minimum salary,
in the amount of 10 percent of the sales turnover of the individual entrepreneur in the 4th quarter of 2019, but not less than the minimum wage and not more than the double of the minimum wage, if 10 percent of the sales turnover of the individual entrepreneur in the 4th quarter of 2019 exceeds the minimum wage the size
in the amount of 10 percent of the sales turnover of the individual entrepreneur in the 4th quarter of 2019, if 10 percent of the sales turnover of the individual entrepreneur in the 4th quarter of 2019 is less than the minimum wage.
The assistance is provided by the Beneficiary on the basis of the application submitted electronically to the website www.online.ssa.am in the prescribed manner.
The data of the persons who received support within the framework of this measure are published on the official website of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
In the case of a co-employed worker, support is provided once, based on the sum of the income received from all employers operating in the Affected Sectors in January and February 2020 to determine the amount of support.
In the case of a Beneficiary who is an employee and an individual entrepreneur at the same time, support is provided at the maximum of the amount of support calculated as an employee and as an individual entrepreneur.
